Deep thoughts, quirky perspectives, interesting ideas for fun and for skillful living in the 21st century.

Gratifying but mystifying, the Economist site sports a map in which the world votes overwhelmingly for Obama. If I was a Republican, I’d be having a stroke! What was the methodology? I can’t figure it out! But there’s something calming about seeing all that blue.

Can anybody explain how this world election was conducted???

One Response to “World Votes for Obama, “The Economist” Reports…”

  1. Alison says:

Oh, wait a second, wait a second, I get it. Voters log in and cast a vote, indicating their nationality, ostensibly. But given the lax standards for establishing country of origin, anybody can say they’re from anywhere.

Not that I think the world wants McCain in the White House, but this is a pretty lame attempt at assessing world opinion. (Yes, I’d like to be proved wrong. And yes, I voted anyway.)
