I’m in a bit of a rush this morning, so will just go ahead and post some items I’ve found intriguing – without much commentary.
- First and foremost, the Red Sox won in a real nail-biter of a game last night. Sounds like my buddies in the 7th row behind home plate had a great time! (The Phillies, on the other hand, lost again … and need to win big on ESPN tonight!)
- The Ventura County Star has a piece about the USWNT and Pia’s song to them … but also some quotes from the players about the new regime that I hadn’t seen before.
- Likewise this article about Pia and the USWNT from Voice of America.
- The WPS has announced its player allocation schedule, which will get underway in earnest in September, after the Oly’s.
- In other soccer news, here’s information about the Veteran’s Cup – currently underway in Bellingham, WA. Watch those Bay State Breakers in Bracket C (Women-Over 50). Go MLD!
Okay – I guess that’s it for now. Other news of the world will have to wait ’til tomorrow!
Peace out …
