Although after reading a bit more of the write-up, I think that this is just the start and there may be quite a bit of shifting around before things settle out. The players (as I understand it) have made no commitments ... and there's no surity that they will even come to the WPS. I was a tad surprised that Marta didn't go first ... AND that the Breakers could have picked her but didn't. I have to think that Tony knows something that we don't. Maybe she is so expensive that teams are going for players who cost less and are more likely to actually come their way? Anyway - this will be interesting to watch. PS I just sent off our seating request this morning ... midfield ... on the aisle ... 2x2 ... as close to the field as possible! Hey Alice – I agree! Not that I have anything against her BUT......wouldn't it have been wonderful shouting encouragement to MAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRTTTTTTTTTTAAAAAAAAAAAAA or Crisssstttiiiiiiiiaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnne! I think the fans' needs should have played a part in the Breakers' choice. I'm off to brood awhile on the wiles of the women's soccer world--then to do some work for Obama to distract me.......
