Deep thoughts, quirky perspectives, interesting ideas for fun and for skillful living in the 21st century.

This article and election map on the Huffington Post argues that Obama is going to win handily in November – not even close. Boy do I hope this is true!

And the projected win is in the context of media bias slightly favoring McCain … according to a study referenced in this recent piece by James Rainey for the LA Times.

Even with more tolerance from the media, McCain continues to fumble opportunities, as in his appearance on “This Week” yesterday.  Being interviewed from his Arizona ranch, he apparently offered up a tempting melange of vague pronouncements, sharp attacks, and confusing misstatements.  Keep it up, John – we love it!

As I continued my meandering I came upon this disturbing piece about rumors of a John Edwards affair.

Zennie’s Zeitgeist (a very interesting-looking blog) offers a good (albeit slightly dated) summation in both print and video. Maybe I’m just contributing to rumor-mongering by putting this sort of thing up on my blog. It seems to me, however, that John Edwards could easily put it all to rest if he wanted to. The fact of the rumors, and the fact that he has not squelched them contributes to a small uneasiness that I have always had about him. The message was always great – but the messenger never quite added up … sorry, John.

While I was listening to Zenie, I noticed a great olympic widget on his site. I’ll be putting it up (Olympic news) as well as some others, maybe, as soon as I finish this up.  Let me know if the widgets screw up my sidebars on your browser, okay?  (Thanks!)

Oh, and speaking of the Oly’s – don’t forget to vote on the JordanCornblog USWNT poll!
