Another Cool Site (From My Sister)

I’m listening right now to some dark classical music on Musicovery.  It’s Tchaikovsky’s Symphony #6 to be precise … conjuring highly dramatic scenes from a million movies circa 1940-1960.  Anyway - you should check out the site.  My sister said she read about it in Rolling Stone … so it’s gotta be okay, right?

Thursday Miscellany

Nothing yet on the Australia front …
Oh No!  I see that the Belmont High Girls Basketball team lost to Franklin High by two points - after soundly beating a top team in their class (Mascoma) on Monday.  Wonder what happened.  (This will be of absolutely no interest to people outside of Central New Hampshire - and even […]

New York, New York

A few NYC-related items …

Re. Mr. Clemens … Oh boy, I do so hope that Roger gets nailed on this whole steroid HGH thing.  He must be sweating it, with Andy Pettitte set to testify.

Want to know what was happening the year you were born?  Check this out at the Infoplease site and click on your birth year!  You can also find information on events that occurred on your […]

Pia in SI & Soccernet … and a Smidgeon of February Camp News … and a New Assistant!

Here’s a great article about Pia from Sports Illustrated that someone just posted on BigSoccer.  (Thanks!)  And here’s another from ESPN’s Soccernet.  What a breath of fresh air … psychologically, tactically.  Hallelujah!  (No wonder Sweden put her on a stamp!)
And here’s a blurb about Brittany Taylor a Washingtonville, NY native (and U Conn player) who’s been called up for […]

Monday Morning (You Sure Look Fine)

Today I have NOTHING scheduled!  I probably shouldn’t say that, as it’ll just upset you if you’re reading this before heading out the door to start your work week.  It’s not that I won’t be doing stuff .. and not that some of it won’t be workish … but none of it is scheduled.  Somehow that makes it all […]
